Please note: Firewall of the Redhat Server is off. As of March 31, 2020, SAP officially announced the support for SAP HANA 2.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.1 for SAP Solutions on Intel 64 and IBM POWER9 architectures. The login pages for CMC and BI LaunchPad cannot be accessed via browser from a desktop / client machine which is on the same network as that of the RedHat Server. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8, which was released at the Red Hat Summit in May 2019, can provide significant performance improvements across a range of modern workloads. Now, with all the BO services, tomcat and sql anywhere started, we are able to access and login to CMC, BI Launchpad only from the browser of RedHat Linux Server. Please can someone suggest what the reason for this could be ? We checked the server logs but found no errors. While the installation has gone through now, we still haven't been able to root cause why the installation got stuck when we were trying from PuTTY. But when we tried installing via Terminal directly on the RedHat Server itself, it worked and we have now successfully installed SAP BO 4.2 SP4 on Linux VM. On our attempts using PuTTY, the installation got stuck at 82%. We initially used PuTTY to access the server remotely for the installation. We have been trying to install SAP BusinessObjects 4.2 SP4 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.2 Server (VM) environment.
